As part of an advanced curriculum, Unity School Services helps public and private schools to establish Gifted and Talented (GT) program that meets the unique social, emotional and intellectual needs of gifted and talented students. Through the collaboration of students, educators, parents and community members, opportunities for maximum growth and development for lifelong success is ensured.
A GT student is defined as a child or a youth who performs at or shows the potential for performing at a remarkably high level of accomplishment when compared to others of the same age, experience, or environment and who:
Goals of GT program is that;
AP is the acronym for Advanced Placement. AP coursework and exams are developed and administered by the College Board and include 35 courses and exams in 20 subject areas. The Placement Program consists of a three-year sequence of coursework in a specific subject. It is available to self-motivated and highly focused high school students.
USS is equipt to create strong partnerships with local colleges and universities to offer Dual Credit program that helps students earn college credit while in high school. Upon successfully completion, high school students are able to save time and money.
Based on the need and in consultation with school administrators and parents, Unity School Services will implement AP and Dual Credit programs separately or collectively in a school environment. In addition to implementation, members of Unity School Services will develop professional development programs for teachers to provide with the necessary tools to effectively offer these advanced level courses to their students.
